Why we do this? We love Sicily and want to share that beauty with the world — and we believe our knowledge and this location are the exceptional starting point.
Il Geco Marino blends two things: the gecko, protecting the house and its guests on hot summer nights — and our love for the sea, which is why Il Geco Marino also aims to protect the Sicilian sea and its beauty.

The location
Giardini Naxos is Taormina’s beach town — and this is the perfect base for Taormina and for all of Sicily. Fly into Catania (CTA), board one direct bus, and about forty-five minutes later you step off at the Recanati terminal — right in front of the building. The moment you land, you are basically here.
And from that same terminal, the whole island opens up: Taormina in twenty minutes, Castelmola above it, Isola Bella and Mazzarò across the bay, Etna at sunrise — and day trips to the Aeolian Islands, the Alcantara Gorges and Syracuse. No car, no transfers. Walk over, hop on, done.
